Welcome session!

The mobility period has started. Now, the 34 Erasmus Mundus students who studied in Valéncia, Barcelona, Paris, Bologna and Coimbra are going to study in another one of those Universities. As you know, my Home University is Coimbra and the Host, Barcelona. All students who have Barcelona as their Host University are from Paris and Coimbra. I've got happy with that because, then, I'll be able to practice my French with the three girls who came from Paris, like I did it today. =) We aren't supposed to be fluent on the language of our Host because our classes are in English. However, our UB's professors extremely recommend we to do so: learn Spanish and/or Catalan (Nooooo!!!). Today, I spoke more English than Portuguese and I'm also hopeful to improve it much more.

Today, we had the welcome session. We met with the coordinator from this Master, registered on the six courses we're gonna do, we talked a little about our personal and professional backgrounds and walked around Mundet Campus, which I like a lot. It's huge, it has a lot of trees, nice classrooms and restrooms (with toilet paper =), the restaurant's food is pretty good (but expansive!,) and the library is awesome, comparing with UnB and UC. I believe we're gonna have great moments at Palau de les Heures room 14, where we're gonna have all classes from this semester.

Now, I present you my new classmates! From the left to the right: Sabrina (Brazil), Laure Claude (France), Ana Teresa (Portugal), Eduardo (Portugal), Ana Niculaes (Maldavia) and Liça Gilbert (Canada). Soon I'll be able to talk more about them for you but the time we spent together today - at lunch time and at our first Sociology class - proved that we do have a lot to learn with each other!!!
